Hockey’s art was pervasive in my formative years as a young adult artist, his use of color and his ability to reinvent himself through different mediums! But his most iconic work was his Hollywood Pools! A Brit who could capture the American Dream & Freedom in the Hollywood Hills, diving in his iconic deep blueness.

Come MEOW, PRANCE, DANCE, and most importantly emit the healing POWER of PURR to the crowd on June 20th!

🔵Join us for an evening of discussion about Dining & Drawing in Los Angeles, how dining culture has shaped our hometown, and the importance of this intersection at Wilshire & Fairfax. .

🔴LA-born locals Artist Gary Baseman and Executive Editor of Taschen Books Jim Heimann will reminisce and reflect about our ever-evolving hometown and neighborhood, dining culture, and our love of vintage design and history, through his collecting, and my creation of art

Longtime friends and flea market fiends, Baseman and Heimann have shared their collections of found treasures with the world. Whether inspiration for art-making or content for multiple books, both take seriously the narratives that could be found in ephemera like menus, photographs, and ads from yesteryear.
