Groucho Ahwroo DCON Exclusive

Gary Baseman heads to DesignerCon 2021, the annual art and design convention that smashes together collectible toys and designer apparel with urban, underground and pop art. To celebrate the return of this in-person DesignerCon in Anaheim Nov 12–14, Baseman created thematic “Gold Timey” collectibles: one DCON Exclusive, a few “First Dibs” that attendees can take home with them including a DCON Exclusive: Hand-painted Groucho Ahwroo

Comedy is vicious! Introducing Groucho Ahwroo, an edition of 24 hand-painted figures  by Gary Baseman. With DCON’s theme of “Gold Timey,” Baseman transported himself to some of his original inspirations, especially the Marx Brothers. The artist states, “Groucho in particular is perfect for Ahwroo. His humor was biting! He had the sharpest tongue wit!”

There are only 24 of these, so join the exclusive Groucho Club! Or as Groucho would say, “I don’t want to belong to any club that would accept me as one of its members.”
