It’s December 1st, and as the year winds down and the new year begins, we search for enlightenment.

I spend a long intense challenging yet fulfilling week in October at @qvarantine.events on the island of Menorca, along with 5 other master artists & 2 master gallerists, mentoring 75 paid artists to direct them on their artist voice.

In the 1990’s, I attempted a philosophical comic strip titled “ENJOY OR SUFFER.” This is one of my favorite ones, published in @blabworld , that seems to capture the essence of everything.

10 years ago I was about to open my museum exhibition at @k11artfoundation in Shanghai.
We were finishing up installing my Fairfax District-esque Jewish home in the middle of the museum.
We introduced a 10 ft snowman and 3 4ft Creamy Ice Cream cone sculptures. I was painting abandoned old doors I found from demolished old buildings, eating “peanut noodle” and hunting for the best XIAO LONG BAO around town.

2014 was a special year.

15 years ago was a wonderful WILD SURREAL NYC night starting at the After Party for Tim Burton’s MOMA Retrospective, and ending at his AFTER AFTER PARTY with only about a dozen of us, including Johnny Depp & Patty Smith.
