Today is the 20th anniversary of the FOR THE LOVE OF TOBY exhibition in LA, where I first introduced TOBY as a plush, to blur the lines between what is a toy and what is a work of art.
In the original exhibition, there were approximately 35 paintings, 25 drawings and sculptures.

I lost my Mom about 13 years ago, but I think about her everyday.
Here are some of my favorite photos of me dancing with my mom, the first at my Bar Mitzvah, and the other must be a cousin’s Bar Mitzvah or Wedding years later. Plus other photos together. Miss you Mom & Dad.

CELEBRATING MY NEW YORKER COVER & EMMY NOMINATION, May 6, 2002.
Twenty three years ago today was a very special week. My art was on the cover of the @newyorkermag for Mother’s Day, and I was nominated for my first Emmy.
I wanted to celebrate the moment so I took myself to the Sky Bar on the Sunset Strip with a martini and my sketchbook.
I feared at the end of the week, I would not win the Emmy and I would get depressed, so l wanted to appreciate the moment. Little did I know, I would actually win my first Emmy for Disney’s Teacher’s Pet. I was on Cloud 9!!
