Inspired by trips to Japan, Baseman created the Kazans who live on an ancient island near Hokkaido, where their history is layered and their heritage twisted. WildGirl Freida, Morrie the Protector, Samzilla the Defender, and Netta Fish the Controller are unexpected heroes who carry special powers and fight for good.
