Aidan is a very special chinchilla who loves to hang upside down, but in my arms, I seem to put him under hypnosis, and into a deep meditative state. He is pretty adorable, asleep and awake.

OUCH! Another ouch Self-Portrait with Blackie the Cat. Ouch. I truly love my time with Bosko, but these drawings keep me close to Blackie. I can’t help missing my nose biting cat. I’ve almost completed this series in a special sketchbook.
While Blackie was ill, I started experimenting on a series of drawings based on my selfies taken with Blackie the Cat over the years. I’m considering turning this series into a book.

These drawings have been very therapeutic and experimental. I’ve been enjoying making these drawings from life in a new way, capturing lines and details that represent our unique bond. I thought I’d be done with this sketchbook by the end of the year, but I guess the healing process takes longer, especially in this time of Covid isolation.

His mom, Karla, rescued Aidan, who had a lot of illnesses and nursed this special guy back to health.

I painted Aidan as his own version of “Alvin and the Chipmunks” as a birthday present for his special mom, which was yesterday. I want to remind people that chinchillas have been slaughtered for their soft fur for years. Consider rescuing a chinchilla, and making them part of your family.

In Memory of my cousin, Amy. Today is the anniversary of my cousin Amy’s birthday. The daughter of my first cousin Freida, Amy took her life about a year and a half ago.
She was the first in my immediate family ever to commit suicide.

I can’t even fathom this number.
No other nation’s number of deaths are even close. I’ve read that 40 percent of these deaths could have been avoided had the last corrupt callus administration handled things properly. Thankfully they are gone.
