A favorite character in Baseman’s world, Ahwroo is the ferociously cute creature representing the hunger and drive humans have when they want something or someone unattainable.
Pronounced “ah-wrooo” like an animal howling, and inspired by the werewolf (or The Wolf Man – one of Baseman’s favorite Universal Classic Monsters), Ahwroo bears a snaggle-toothed grin to express his want of attention. If he doesn’t get it, he just might scratch and draw some blood.
Each MASK is unique, and may have markings that show the expressive hand of artist Gary Baseman.
Created in Los Angeles, this vacuum-formed mask (9.5 x 9.5 x 3 in.) is made with 0.60” Rubber Modified HIPS, and painted with safe water-based material.
